Minutes of the Special Meeting

October 22, 2003

City Hall Annex Building, 186 Branham Way

Mayor Frank Sullivan called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. with the following Council members present: Joetta Calhoun, Sam Beichler, Sid Griffin, Ralph Lutes and Larry Porter.

Also present was City Clerk Christi Franklin and Mt. Washington Alcoholic Beverage Control Officer Barry Armstrong.

Sam Beichler introduced and the Council held first reading of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 03-13 (Alcoholic Beverage Control Ordinance).  Discussion followed.  Barry Armstrong recommended deleting the percentage requirement in both subsections as presented and in subsection 6, add wording that states the ABC Officer can require a background check only if approved by the Mayor. 

Sid Griffin made a motion to adjourn at 11:24am.  Sam Beichler seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
