City of Mt. Washington Water and Sewer Billing

City water and sewer bills include billing for the following services:

Water- Billing is based on water consumption. The cost is based on the amount of gallons used.  The minimum bill for all water, sewer, and trash services is $32.30.

Sewer - Billing is based on water consumption.

Admin Fee - A $2.00 administration fee is charged to all bills each month. Ordinance No. 95-15 established the fee in 1995. This fee offsets the cost of processing and collecting the water and sewer bills. This fee also covers bad debt collection and other items such as subsidizing a part of the salaries of the clerks and other employees who provide for the operation of City Hall and the Water & Sewer Company since the City Government and the City Water & Sewer Service do co-exist and many responsibilities are shared, such as answering the telephone calls at City Hall that relate to both the City business and the City Water and Sewer business.

Recycling -Recycling is also mandatory.  At the time service is established, a one time $5.00 charge is billed for the recycling bin. If service is established in person at City Hall, you are given the recycling bin.  If service is established by phone, your bin will be delivered to your home.  Trash and recycling are pick up the same day.
