Minutes of the Public Hearing

June 9, 2003

City Hall Annex Building, 186 Branham Way

Mayor Frank Sullivan called the meeting to order at 6:29 p.m. with the following Council members present: Sam Beichler, Joetta Calhoun, Lloyd Dooley, Sid Griffin, Ralph Lutes, and Larry Porter.

Also present were City Clerk Christi Franklin, City Treasurer Peggy Brinkman, Utility Superintendent Ronnie Fick, City Engineer Dave Derrick, and City Attorney Rodney Burress.

Sid Griffin made a motion to open the public hearing.  Larry porter seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote. 

Christi Franklin stated that the purpose of the public hearing is to obtain citizen comments regarding the possible uses of the Municipal Road Aid and Local Government Economic Assistance Funds for the fiscal year 2003/2004. 

A resident asked the Council to look at the drainage at the cemetery at the intersection of Highway 44 East and Branham Way.  Discussion Followed.

Joetta Calhoun made a motion to adjourn the public hearing at 6:33pm.  Lloyd Dooley seconded the motion.  Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
