Minutes of the Regularly Scheduled Council Meeting
May 8, 2006
City Hall Annex Building, 186 Branham Way
Mayor Sullivan called the meeting to order at 6:30pm with the following Council members present: Lloyd Dooley, Joetta Calhoun, Ed Hilbert, Ralph Lutes, Sid Griffin and Larry Porter.
Also present were City Clerk Christi Franklin, City Treasurer Peggy Brinkman, City Engineer Dave Derrick and City Attorney Jim Winchell.
Betty Froelicher gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes
Christi Franklin read the minutes of the April 24, 2006 Council meeting. Ralph Lutes made a motion to accept the minutes of the April 24, 2006 meeting as written. Joetta Calhoun seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
Christi Franklin read the minutes of the April 26, 2006 special meeting. Lloyd Dooley made a motion to accept the minutes of the April 26, 2006 special meeting as written. Sid Griffin seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
Christi Franklin read the minutes of the May 3, 2006 special meeting. Sid Griffin made a motion to accept the minutes of the May 3, 2006 special meeting. Joetta Calhoun seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
The Council agreed to re-schedule the budget meeting from May 18th to May 19th at 9:00am.
Police Report
Chief Hockenbury presented the police report for April 2006.
Ordinances
Sid Griffin introduced and the Council held first reading of an ordinance amending the City of Mt. Washington annual budget for the 2005/2006 fiscal year.
Resolution
The Council reviewed a resolution authorizing the City to enter into an Agreement with the State Transportation Cabinet for Municipal Road Aid Funds. Joetta Calhoun made a motion to pass the resolution authorizing the Agreement. Larry Porter seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
Guests to Address Council
Mike Phillips introduced himself as a candidate for Bullitt County Clerk and discussed his qualifications and goals. As the current EMS Director, Mr. Phillips also discussed issues and goals of the EMS.
Report from Council
Lloyd Dooley said will give Christi a list of street lights that need repair.
Mayor’s Report
Mayor Sullivan reported the City closed on lot 10 in the business park to Mr. Edwards.

Sid Griffin made a motion to adjourn at 6:51pm. Larry Porter seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously by a roll call vote.
